Slow Cooker Buffalo Dip

The one post that had nothing to do with healthy eating on my Tumblr blog was my most popular, with over 80 pins on Pinterest. This post has nothing to do with healthy eating, except for that making your own food for a football party is probably slightly healthier than ordering take out. However, this buffalo dip is delicious and has been requested multiple times this college football season.

The original recipe can be found here. (One of the many delicious recipes I’ve tried after finding on Pinterest) What you need: 1 lb cooked, shredded chicken (2 chicken breasts) 8 oz. cream cheese 1 cup Ranch dressing 3/4 cup Frank’s Buffalo Wing Sauce 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese What you do: Add all of the ingredients to your slow cooker and mix as best you can. Turn the slow cooker on to high for around an hour, stirring occasionally. Switch to low while serving. I’ve also served this chilled after cooking it with absolutely no complaints. It lasts in the fridge for about a week. Two tips when making this dip: 1. There is no need to double this recipe. I tried that the first time making it, and I had so many leftovers. Making the amount listed is plenty! 2. I accidentally bought the “hot buffalo” wing sauce once, instead of the “buffalo” wing sauce. My friends and I needed towels to wipe the sweat off of our foreheads it was so spicy! Buy just the buffalo… *This post originally showed up on my Tumblr blog from 01/2014*
